As Regenerative Culture advocates, Yoshi & Pola Pantera from Ecuador, will share key points to designing truly, coherent and thriving permaculture systems, which lie in understanding the sacred feminine and masculine energies present in all of life. Balancing these energies is crucial for creating regenerative abundance.
In the Andean tradition, this balance is reflected in the concept of “Yanantin-Masintin,” the harmonious union of opposites. This principle is embodied in the sacred mountains, where the masculine energy of the Apus (mountain spirits) is balanced by the feminine energy of the Pachamama (Mother Earth). Just as the Apus provide structure and protection, while the Pachamama nourishes and sustains.
Similarly, the yin-yang symbol of Taoism illustrates the interconnectedness of these polar opposites, which give rise to each other in an eternal dance of life and death. In permaculture, the sacred feminine manifests as the life-giving abundance, fertility, and resilience of a diverse, integrated ecosystem. The sacred masculine provides the structure, boundaries, and organizing intelligence to channel this wild fecundity into productive yields that nourish both people and planet.
However, when these energies fall out of balance, dysfunction and degradation result. Conversely, when the sacred masculine and feminine energies synergize through thoughtful, regenerative design, a permaculture site becomes tremendously productive, resilient, and beautiful.
In this talk, Yoshi & Pola will explore ways to work consciously with the sacred feminine and masculine in permaculture practices, including:
* Exploring the ancestral roots of feminine and masculine energies in natural cycles
* Connecting and communicating with spirit and all life
* Reformulating the essential of food sovereignty
* Applying feminine qualities to regenerative design
* Examining the intersection of feminine and masculine energies through the lenses of quantum physics, deep psychology, and biology
* Sharing personal experiences and practical knowledge from their regenerative projects
Yoshi & Pola Pantera will share their wisdom and experience from their 10 year journey together, such as SEEDS Transcendence, Flora Plant Based Cuisine, Tropicana Music & Sikuanga EcoTourism, as well as their newest project RAÃZ Ecovillage in Ecuador, offering both a spiritual and scientific understanding of how to partner with Mother Earth to co-create regenerative abundance. They will provide practical techniques for bringing these profound yet simple concepts to our gardens, farms, and especially communities.
