What would happen if the financial system collapsed today–our bank accounts depleted, investments shorted, and absurd inflation? Would we cease to exist? Would the buildings and roads crumble? Would the forests die? Would the rivers stop flowing? Would we lose all the skills we have practiced? Would we forget the wisdom and knowledge we have gained?
We will explore what an economy actually is and break through our perceived limitations of currency exchange. Through simple games, we will expose the limitations of money and reveal the possibilities beyond the shackles of the financial system.
In our hearts, we know we can’t buy happiness, yet we’ve been programmed to believe money is the path to all that we desire. Peace will come when we stop trying to measure life and start living and experiencing it. Our true value as individuals, businesses, and nations, is not defined by our bank accounts and credit score–it’s in our ability to be in our fullest expression and bring beauty into the world through our unique gifts.
This workshop may ruffle some feathers, especially to those who have benefited from playing the money game, but it’s nothing more than a giant pyramid scheme. I’m not here to judge people for succeeding at the game of monopoly, but we all know how that game ends, and it’s about time we play something more family friendly. Let’s consider strategies that will take us beyond money and back to the true value of what it means to be a human on earth.
