Gain power avoiding trashing ourselves and the Earth. Participants acquire awareness, tools, and strategies from decades of research averting toxicity terrible for ourselves and the environment. Food is literally called “junk.” Explore existence, from food and water, to air and care products. Even furniture and clothing, to light and technology.
I was an education coordinator for the Campus Recycle Program as a student at Humboldt State University where I studied a double major in politics and economics. I also co-founded a club, “Be Healthy,” to lobby for healthier food choices on campus. I own an array of re-usable cups, plates, and utensils that prevent me from creating trash as I travel. My practices have repeatedly led to people calling me a “good gringo.” I also have refillable bottles and water filters that thwart leaving a trail of water bottle trash in my wake. I am also vegan, which is one of the most effective choices to limit waste considering the deforestation promoting land use, excessive water, and food usage of animal agriculture, as well as the impact on human health of excessive animal product consumption.
This is a workshop I’ve hosted at festivals such as Solar Punk Summit (solarpunksummit.com), Envision (envisionfest.com), Seeds Transcendence (seedstranscendence.pro), and Music and Sky (Musicandsky.com), as well as private gatherings like Paul and LaurenBell’s Freedom Activation gatherings. I can provide references.
