Practice of Surya Kriya – The Sun Kriya

Practicing this leads to more energy, purification, better digestion and enthusiasm. It makes the mind clear and action orientated and builds the strength of the body and the ability to focus on many tasks

This workshop is suitable for people who are able bodied and have physical flexibility. Some of it, like the breathing exercise, at the beginning and the meditation at the end are possible for people with little physical movement. With any kriya we have to work within our own limits, wherever we start from we can improve our mental and physical wellbeing from this point.

Outline of the workshop:

We’ll tune in, this offers us protection during the practice
We’ll warm up with some sun salutations and then practice the Surya Kriya, which includes various different physical postures and movements, followed by relaxation. We tune out at the end. All the movements are simple to follow.
